Apple Crisp


INGREDIENTS

1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1˝ cup Butter
2 cups oatmeal 1 cup Flour
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1˝ cup apples, sliced (6 to 8)
Salt to taste
Cinnamon to taste

IN a mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.

MIX until butter is softened and the sugars are incorporated, but DO NOT Cream.

ADD the oatmeal and flour and mix until crumbly.

PLACE apple slices in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Crumble the oatmeal mixture evenly over the apples, covering all. Then sprinkle with salt and cinnamon.

Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Granny Smith or a Rome Beauty are best for this recipe.

Serves 10 to 12
