Hot Brown Sandwiches



INGREDTIENTS:

1/4 cup butter or margerine
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup chicken or turkey broth
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 sandwich bread slices, toasted
3/4 pound turkey
8 slices baconed, cooked
1 to 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Paprika

MELT butter in a heavy sauce pan over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually add milk and chicken broth; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until thickened and bubbly. Stir in shredded Cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Remove from heat.

PLACE 2 bread slices on each of 4 oven proof plates. Top with sliced turkey, bacon, and cheese sauce; sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan cheese and paprika.

BAKE 3 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 4 to 5 minutes or until sauce is golden. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.
