We're starting off this tour in the living quarters. The picture at your left is port side of the Captain's Quarters, aft/stern section.

And this is the starboard side of our bedroom. You can barely see it, but back beside the closet is a built in vanity.

This is what I call our 'communications room'. It is here that I run the tide charts for the various ports we plan to dock at, send and receive our e-mail, check on weather reports from XRAD, and of course update our web site. The mirrored wall is actually the back side of the Captain's Quarters.

My office is located on the port side. In the next picture, the view is more toward the mid section - our living-room/salon.

In this picture, I purposely left one of the doors open. For a long time we did not have a door between the Living-Room and Sleeping Quarters. Harold said there was no way to build or put one in. It was a real pain if I went to bed early and he wanted to watch TV, I might just as well have stayed up too. Then I got this brilliant idea. I told him I was going to not only build a door there, but I also wanted shelves behind the door. Of course he thought I was crazy, but when I told him how I planned to do it, he took on the job. Needless to say, I now have doors to the aft section, with 2 inch shelves from ceiling to floor behind one of the doors. You cannot see the shelves when the doors are open and locked in place. But you'd be amazed at how many spools of thread and hobby stuff fit on those shelves! I actually got that idea (and a lot more) from a home decorating show called Lynette Jennings.
I have left out the head/bathroom simply because of the loading time. I am also going to split the pictures into three pages. Stern/Aft (this page), Mid Section, which is our Salon/Living-Room, and then the Galley/Kitchen.
